Job Title: Sales and Marketing | Student Placement 2026/27

Job Type: Fixed-Term Contract (1 year) for the length of the placement year | Starting Summer 2026
Work Arrangement: Hybrid, with time spent at the Hazelwood site

This Sales and Marketing placement represents an outstanding opportunity to gain comprehensive experience in both marketing and sales within a dynamic business-to-business environment. You will be an integral part of cross-functional teams, supporting account management and product marketing, and driving business growth by contributing directly to commercial strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide essential support during customer visits, presentations, training sessions, and commercial activities alongside account managers to deepen client relationships.
- Contribute to the development of the annual commercial plan, ensuring alignment with business objectives for assigned accounts.
- Work closely with the regional sales team to implement initiatives necessary to execute growth targets and successfully achieve the annual sales plan.
- Support account managers in developing, communicating, and implementing strategic regional product line initiatives to strengthen market position.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including strategic marketing, research & development, sales, procurement, supply chain, and operations to support integrated business efforts.
- Assist in executing targeted marketing plans designed to generate product awareness, create demand, and drive business expansion.
- Facilitate timely technical support for sales and customers by coordinating with the Technology Deployment team to address client needs.
- Help with volume forecasting for the European region, contributing to accurate demand planning and inventory management.
- Support the compilation and analysis of market management information, including product data, pricing, and promotion insights, to aid informed price and volume decision-making.
- Participate in product positioning activities to support customers’ business plans and enhance competitive advantage.
- Collaborate with the Marketing group to develop impactful market and internal communications, as well as promotional programs targeted at regional markets.
- Actively gather and analyze information to contribute to strategic account plans aimed at growing customer business and increasing overall market share.

What You Will Need
- Currently studying towards a business-related degree, including a year in industry, aiming for a 2:1 or above.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently, delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration and relationship-building.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with common business software tools.
- A keen interest in the commercial aspects of business, paired with enthusiasm for developing collaborative working relationships.
