The ICM process involves end-to-end management of import container documentation, compliance, and system updates to ensure smooth and timely cargo clearance and delivery. This role requires coordination with various internal teams, customs authorities, and external stakeholders to monitor the status of containers, validate documentation, and ensure adherence to local and global regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities:
Monitor import vessel schedules and update system records accordingly.
Ensure accurate and timely submission of ICM data into internal systems.
Validate documentation to comply with customs requirements.
Coordinate with port authorities, freight forwarders, and internal teams for release and clearance updates.
Address exceptions promptly and escalate delays or discrepancies to relevant stakeholders.
Generate ICM status reports and ensure visibility to leadership and operations teams.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Comprehensive understanding of import compliance and documentation.
Effective communication and coordination skills.
Familiarity with global trade systems and shipping processes.
Ability to manage high volumes and tight deadlines.
Basic Excel skills are a must.
