Your contribution
In this dynamic and impactful role, you will support Tecan’s company-wide strategy projects and help drive our ambitious growth targets through M&A and partnerships across both the Life Science and Partnering divisions. You’ll be responsible for market intelligence, identifying and managing strategic opportunities, and supporting M&A transactions and companywide initiatives. Reporting to the Vice President of Corporate Development, you’ll collaborate with senior management and gain exposure across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze market intelligence, including macro trends, competitor landscape, and regulatory context
- Support and independently drive strategic projects and companywide initiatives
- Prepare insightful competitive analysis and strategic advice for senior management and board members
- Develop and review company strategy and identify proprietary growth opportunities
- Coordinate PMO activities in larger projects
- Support and drive M&A activities, including target identification, due diligence, and integration
- Conduct strategic and financial analysis, including financial modeling and business plan development
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders, and prepare presentations and workshops for senior management
Your background

- M.Sc or PhD in Sciences (preferably life sciences disciplines, e.g. Biology or Engineering) with further education/experience in business administration or M.Sc in Economics with a genuine interest in Life Science
- Initial working experience (up to 3 years) in strategy development, M&A, due diligence, management consulting (life science exposure), corporate development, or investment banking
- At least one internship with a consultancy, in a corp. development department or in investment banking
- Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Fluent in English; German is a plus
- High creativity, integrity, and ability to juggle multiple priorities
