Six Month Position Available with Lane County Road Maintenance!
About the Position
Lane County Road Maintenance is looking to fill a seasonal position on its Vegetation Crew in Eugene.
About the Division
The Road Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the County transportation system including some state highways and city streets under contract with Lane County. Although the majority of equipment and employees in Road Maintenance are based at the Delta Complex, satellite shops are located near Cottage Grove, Dexter, Veneta, and Florence. A crew and equipment are assigned to each Road Maintenance Zone. The Bridge Projects Crew and Vegetation Crew are headquartered at Delta and work throughout the County.Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Overtime and/or shift changes required per operational needs.

*This position is budgeted for a maximum of 1,040 hours during the fiscal year.
Position Duties
Training:
- Formal or informal education or training which ensures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
Experience:
- One year of experience in the operation of light equipment or performing unskilled or semi-skilled tasks.
- Or an equivalent combination of experience and training that will demonstrate the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.
Special Requirements:
This position is subject to a full pre-employment background check. You must pass the pre-employment background check to move forward in the hiring process.
Possession of a valid Oregon Driver's license at time of hire..
