Position Summary: 

The Inventory Associate, 2nd Shift position is responsible for performing a range of duties related to the receipt, issuance, handling, and accurate accounting of inventory stock. This role involves conducting regular audits and reconciling the physical inventory with the data in the perpetual inventory system, ensuring consistency and accuracy across all records. The Inventory Associate, 2nd Shift, provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers and demonstrates strict confidentiality with all team members while serving as an ambassador of our culture. 

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Conduct daily counts of resale material and related ancillary products.
  • Reconcile inventory variances of resale material and related ancillary products.
  • Report adjustments to the appropriate supervisors.
  • Report damaged and shorted products to the appropriate supervisors.
  • Create reports and analysis of inventory variances for the appropriate supervisors.
  • Identify any weakness in the safeguarding of company assets.
  • Identify any weakness in any internal processes.
  • Maintain adequate documentation and records.
  • Perform counts at other PPSC locations and of outside storage facilities, as needed.
  • Help alleviate workflow reduction within returns department, as needed. 
  • Adhere to all company safety rules, standards, and guidelines. 
  • Perform other duties as assigned  

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: 

  • Requires strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Requires the ability to effectively build rapport with both internal and external customers.
  • Requires a positive attitude and ability to function both independently and in a team setting.
  • Must possess strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage time effectively.
  • Must be computer literate in all Microsoft Office products.
  • Able to communicate in English with regard to the essential functions of the position  

 

Required Experience and Education: 

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Two years of prior warehouse experience
  • Two years of prior experience with a Warehouse Management System. 
  • Prior knowledge or experience with RF Scanners and forklifts.

 

Physical Demands: 

  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods. 
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires visual, hearing and speech acuity. 
  • Exposure to extreme temperatures and elements, noise, and fumes. 
  • Ability to use hands to operate office equipment.
