Arobas Personnel is looking for a Lead,IT Security Architect for a mandate or for a temp to perm position at one of its customers located in Montreal. 

*Hybrid mode - 3 days/week on site*

Reporting to the IT Director, the Lead IT Security Architect acts as the guardian of cybersecurity across the organization. The role is both strategic and hands-on, ensuring robust protection of IT environments, compliance with industry standards, and the implementation of future-proof strategies.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement IT security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Write, update, and maintain documentation, operational procedures, and security guidelines.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and security audits.
  • Oversee remediation of vulnerabilities and compliance issues.
  • Collaborate with the SOC to ensure performance and responsiveness.
  • Participate in audits, analyze findings, and implement corrective action plans.
  • Mentor a security analyst and coordinate external vendors.
  • Manage Jira tickets related to security, taking leadership and bridging with IT teams (infra, servers, etc.) and external partners.
  • Identify risks caused by changes/requests and raise them to stakeholders/management.
  • Be technical enough to handle audits and perform simple security analyses (GPO, vulnerability reports, Nessus scans, etc.).
  • Thrive in a small IT/security team, requiring broad security knowledge (networking, cloud, etc.) and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Strong asset: knowledge of audit standards (SOC, ISO, etc.) or security frameworks (NIST, MITRE ATT&CK, etc.).
  • Huge asset: experience working in a SOC.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 8+ years of cybersecurity experience.
  • Proficiency with security tools (firewalls, EDR, IDS/IPS, etc.), networks, virtualization, storage, and cloud environments.
  • Strong knowledge of compliance and data protection regulations (ITAR, NIST, DFARS, etc.).
  • CISSP/NCSP certifications (an asset).
  • Bilingual English/French, with excellent ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
  • Autonomous, detail-oriented, solution-driven, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
