Tamayo Federal Solutions, LLC (TFS) is seeking a motivated Junior Public Health Advisor (Jr. PHA) to support international public health programs. This role provides technical and administrative assistance across a variety of public health initiatives, focusing on vaccine-preventable disease (VPD) surveillance, polio eradication, outbreak response, and global immunization activities.

The Jr. PHA will work closely with senior advisors, field support officers, and international partners to strengthen program implementation, reporting, and coordination. This position is ideal for early-career professionals eager to expand their experience in global health programs, epidemiologic data support, and international partner engagement. 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing epidemiological data from WHO, Ministries of Health, and partner organizations to support polio eradication and VPD program activities.
• Support program planning, monitoring, and evaluation of immunization and surveillance projects.
• Contribute to the preparation of weekly activity surveys, monthly summaries, and mid-year/year-end progress reports.
• Assist in developing training materials, refresher courses, and guidance documents for field teams and national immunization staff.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for field activities, deployments, and coordination meetings.
• Participate in outbreak response efforts by supporting data review, microplanning activities, and coordination with local partners.
• Prepare draft reports, presentations, and briefing materials for CDC teams, TFS leadership, and partner organizations.
• Coordinate with consultants, partners, and in-country staff to track progress and ensure timely communications.
• Support Public Health Advisors with budget tracking, burn-rate reviews, and preparation of fiscal reports.
• Participate in meetings with CDC’s Polio Eradication Branch (PEB), Global Immunization Division (GID), and international partners to provide program support.

Requirements

Experience:

• MPH /Epidemiology and advanced university degree in public health or medicine from a recognized university 
• At least 4 years of experience in international setting leading polio eradication activities particularly in outbreak response in complex settings. 
• At least 4 years of experience in vaccine practices and community-based surveillance activities. 
• Experience working with multi-lateral partners at sub-regional, regional, and international levels. 
• Bi-lingual in French and English. 

Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills.
• Ability to interpret epidemiological data and contribute to public health program planning.
• Experience working with data management tools (REDCap, Excel, or similar).
• Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, international program environment.
• Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage with diverse partners.
