Responsibilities
The Risk, Reporting & Analytics (RR&A) department is responsible for delivering best-in-class, technology-enabled analyses and reporting to Oaktree’s current and prospective investors, and portfolio management professionals globally. We are seeking a Senior Associate with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric and Power BI. This role is ideal for candidates with asset management or financial services experience who can build advanced dashboards and paginated reports that strengthen deal team analytics and enhance client reporting. The successful candidate will leverage technical BI expertise and investment management knowledge to deliver accurate and insightful solutions for stakeholders.
Responsibilities include:
Architect and implement Power BI solutions in Microsoft Fabric, set up and manage deployment pipelines, and design streamlined end-to-end BI workflows
Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making across investment, risk, and product specialist teams
Write efficient SQL queries and DAX measures to support analytical models and reporting
Build and maintain DAX calculations, Power Query (M) scripts, and Fabric dataflows to ensure robust, scalable, and high-performing BI models
Design and enforce semantic model security frameworks, including Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS), to protect sensitive data
Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across reporting platforms
Contribute to BI strategy, governance, and adoption of best practices within the firm
Qualifications
7+ years of relevant experience
4-8years in data analytics and BI development on cloud platforms within an investment management environment
Prior experience in an asset management or financial services firm, with exposure to portfolio analytics, fund performance, risk, or regulatory reporting
Proficiency in Microsoft Fabric for developing data pipelines, dataflows, Lakehouse, and data warehouse solutions
Experience with SQL and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) for querying, data modeling, and performance optimization
Contribute to data governance, reporting standards, and compliance frameworks across the firm
Familiarity with Python for data analysis and automation preferred

Education
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
