As a Lead Project Engineer at Weatherford, you'll be at the forefront of technical service delivery in the oil and gas industry. Key Responsibilities
- Participate in daily operations and safety meetings, including toolbox talks and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA)
- Lead Project pre-planning and platform integration
- Perform PJU-HD detailed platform layout and elevations
- Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)
- Perform verification of hosing and circulation system requirements
- Coordinate BOP verification documentation and testing programs
- Manage field operation crews during complex installations and service
- Partner with client to provide specific PJU-HD structural analysis information to satisfy regulatory requirements
- Present and perform Incident investigation, root cause evaluation and corrective action implementation (WPTS / CPAR)
- Development of operational procedures / technical work instructions
- Respond promptly to client needs with 24-hour availability during assigned rotations
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior field engineers
- Contribute to the development of improved procedures and equipment designs
- Support research initiatives through field expertise and practical insights
Qualifications Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field required.
- 5-7 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
- Experience with structural design work, particularly for load-bearing components and frameworks
- Experience with crane capacity / lifting requirement verification
- Knowledge of mechanics, electricity, electronics, pneumatics, and/or hydraulics preferred
- Leadership experience is preferred
- Physical capability to perform required field tasks
Travel Requirements
Travel Requirement: Up to 10% domestic and potentially international travel to PJU installation and operation sites
