About the Role
Spiegelworld is looking for a Bartender to join the team at Absinthe at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas. The ideal bartender is professional, has high-energy with excellent communication skills to serve classic cocktails and exciting new beverages to our customers while adhering to our standard of service. Bartenders are knowledgeable about all menu options, including wine and cocktail selections, and can provide detailed ingredient information as well as an engaging and articulate description of the item. The ideal candidate will focus on serving quality cocktails with impeccable customer service and a can-do approach to any request.
Successful Bartenders at Spiegelworld help customers choose the perfect drink, present a neat appearance and convey a warm and inviting attitude toward all guests of the bars. Our bartenders are known for being efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. This role reports to the Food and Beverage Manager. This is a union role and earns $17.73/hr.
What You’ll Do
- Welcome guests and offer them the options for drinks.
- Exceed guest expectations and making their night more fun.
- Mix ingredients and garnish glasses according to established recipes.
- Actively engage in our antiracist commitment and internal practices by participating in offered learnings, engaging in conversations around Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Accessibility, and helping us maintain a safe and welcoming workspace.
- Create a work environment which promotes teamwork, performance feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.
- Plan drink menus and inform team members about new beverages and specials.
- Check identification to ensure customers are the legal age to purchase alcohol.
- Take inventory and order supplies to ensure bar and tables are well-stocked.
- Adhere to all food safety and quality regulations.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions, ensuring accurate charges and change. Balance the cash register.
- Maintain a clean work and dining area by removing trash, cleaning tables, and washing glasses, utensils, and equipment.
- Perform all aspects of opening and closing duties.
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies as needed.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Spiegelworld policies, practices, and procedures.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 2 years bartending in a high-end bar or restaurant and a high school diploma or GED.
- Strong spirits, wine, and beer knowledge is necessary.
- Basic math and computer skills.
- Positive, engaging personality, and professional appearance.
- Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
- Able to work in a club/nightlife atmosphere with loud music and flashing lights.
- Ability to enforce company policies regarding the consumption of alcohol.
- Must have a flexible schedule with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have TAM card or the ability to secure one before the first shift
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Successful background check clearance prior to hire
- Candidates must have valid work authorization for the US
