Responsibilities and Duties
WHO/WHAT: Some people hit snooze. Others are the snooze button. And then there are rare superheroes who can launch into action before sunrise—cheerful, caffeinated, and ready to turn the morning chaos into a smooth takeoff. If you’re the latter, we’ve found your people. This medical duo just moved from California to Pittsburgh (welcome back home for Dad!), bringing along their bright, thoughtful toddler and a brand-new baby girl. These parents start their days early—and they need a dependable, fun, and professional sidekick to keep mornings running like clockwork. You’ll help with wake-ups, breakfast, and daycare drop-off (with mileage reimbursement for your car), then spend the rest of your shift keeping the household humming. That means pitching in with items like laundry (kids’ and parents’), dishes, vacuuming, unloading the dishwasher, picking up the house, errands, light dinner prep, restocking the pantry, keeping the house organized, bottle duty for the tiniest family member, and anything that helps the family settle into their new home. This isn’t just about checking boxes—it’s about becoming part of their family’s rhythm. They don’t have a “village” here yet, so they’re looking for someone who will become part of theirs. That means trust is essential — and because no parent can plan for every twist and turn, you’ll also need the confidence to work with a high level of autonomy. A steady, long-term teammate who can grow with their kids and bring equal parts structure and sparkle to the day is exactly who they hope to find.
The Ideal Nanny IS…RELIABLE. You’re the kind of person who can show up at 5:30 am with a smile (and maybe coffee in hand) and still have the energy to build block towers or belt out toddler songs. You’re proactive and organized but also know how to roll with the unpredictable pace of life with kids. You understand that great care is built on trust, safety comes first, always - but fun comes right after. If the idea of being the family’s morning captain, household hero, and trusted sidekick makes you grin instead of groan, then apply today. These parents can’t wait to meet the person who’ll make their Pittsburgh chapter feel like home.
