The San Bernardino County Superintendent of Schools office acts as an intermediate service agency between the California Department of Education and the 33 school districts in San Bernardino County to help meet the educational needs of all children county-wide. Job Summary

The Coordinator, Early Education and Development is responsible for professional development training, instructional and programmatic coaching, and the development of customized supports to schools, districts, and early learning programs in all aspects related to the Preschool – 3rd (P-3) grade continuum, including but not limited to, early literacy, family and community engagement, and whole child supports. The Coordinator, Early Education and Development will lead in the development and delivery of professional learning, programmatic guidance, specialized projects, and educational events to improve P-3 initiatives and outcomes related to the key priority area of early literacy. This position also fosters positive relationships and connections with the community, schools, districts, families, partners, and advisory groups to improve student outcomes.

Requirements / Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS • Possession of a valid California teaching credential; • Possession of a valid California Administrative Services Credential or Certificate of Eligibility (COE) in Administrative Services; • Master’s Degree in Education, Early Education or a related field from an accredited college or university; • Two (2) years of leadership experience as an administrator, coordinator of Early Education programs and/or initiatives, at a school, district, or county office.

Benefits package (Medical, Vision, Dental & Life) Employer pays annually up to: $22,000 Blue Shield or Kaiser
