About the Role
At Valon, recruiting isn’t back-office: it’s mission-critical execution. Every hire we make compounds our ability to transform multibillion-dollar industries. As a Technical Recruiter, you will be responsible for the full recruiting lifecycle for our most critical roles, from sourcing to closing. You’ll be the operator, storyteller, and trusted advisor who ensures that Valon attracts and hires the world-class talent needed to scale our AI-native OS.
This is a role for someone who thrives in complexity, moves with urgency, and treats recruiting like building a product: precise, data-driven, and always improving.
What You’ll Achieve
- Drive outcomes, not process: Manage pipelines with urgency so no candidate is left in limbo and no hiring manager is in the dark.
- Source, assess, and close top talent: Build diverse candidate pipelines across engineering and technical roles; craft compelling outreach that communicates Valon’s mission.
- Be a trusted advisor to hiring managers: Push back when job descriptions, comp, or processes aren’t aligned with the market. Bring market intelligence to inform strategy.
- Tell Valon’s story: Articulate why complexity is our moat and how every hire contributes to transforming regulated finance.
- Obsess over candidate experience: Ensure every interaction reflects Valon’s culture—precise, human, and high-trust. Spot opportunities for delight, from thoughtful follow-ups to personalized touches.
- Own recruiting as a system: Track and report pipeline metrics, manage ATS data hygiene, and continuously refine processes for speed and quality.
- Experiment with AI-first recruiting: Use AI tools to scale sourcing, outreach, and pipeline insights—always with an eye toward outcomes.
- Build for scale: Draft job descriptions, refine interview loops, and create repeatable recruiting playbooks that compound over time.
What you bring
- Proven success recruiting for technical roles (engineering, product, data, etc.) in high-growth or complex environments
- Ability to identify, qualify, and close exceptional technical talent with precision and urgency
- Storytelling skills to credibly explain Valon’s anti-wedge strategy and inspire candidates about the opportunity
- High agency: you take ownership, drive outcomes, and fix broken processes without waiting for direction
- Curiosity to learn and translate the intricacies of regulated industries into a compelling narrative
