DESCRIPTION/JOB SUMMARY

Operating the Distribution Center Control Board to maximize department efficiency and performing general warehouse and office duties in order to fulfill customer orders and business needs

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

•Utilize Oracle Warehouse Management (“Control Board”) to assign tasks to operators, focusing on business priorities and optimization of task sequence to ensure maximized departmental operations

•Operate a forklift and/or a vertical lift to perform general warehouse duties such as loading and unloading finished goods to and from containers, trailers and racked locations 

•Use RF Scanner to accurately document product movement to ensure inventory accuracy 

•Perform final review on all shipments and orders prior to loading to ensure they are accurate and meet the expectations of the customers

•Apply proper shipping labels and additional banding/packaging as required before product is loaded onto trailers/containers

•Perform Distribution Center Customer Service duties as needed, such as responding to customer requests ensuring accurate and timely delivery of orders, re-routing, expediting and canceling customer orders, processing Pick Tickets, and coordinating priorities with internal departments and third-party carriers

•Process, print, sort and file Bill of Ladings (BOL’s)

•Assist in Cycle-Counting inventory and Ship Confirmation when necessary

•Promptly notify management of any damaged or mislabeled product, freight or equipment

•Ability to work effectively and meet department objectives with minimal supervision

•Lead by example and consistently exceed performance expectations

•Conduct physical warehouse inventory as needed

•Ensure all safety and security rules are strictly observed and any accidents, incidents or injuries are promptly reported to management 

•Complete the Annual CTPAT Security Training 

•Focus on continuous improvement, and consistently demonstrate good business judgment 

•Work effectively with all Pride departments to exceed internal and external expectations

•Pride retains the discretion to modify duties and/or assign other duties as necessary

 

REQUIRED SKILLS

•Must be a team player, friendly, professional, detail-oriented, and honest

 

Must have the ability to: 

•Multi-task, problem-solve, and prioritize in a fast-paced working environment

•Be flexible with working hours based upon business needs

•Utilize Pride systems

•Stand/walk/bend throughout workday

•Lift up to 50 lbs., push/pull up to 80 lbs.

 

Must have:

•Relentless drive to achieve advancement and continuous improvement

•A willingness to learn and/or adapt to new work methods

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills

•Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel 

•Basic working knowledge of warehousing/distribution standard concepts, practices, and procedures

 

PREFERRED SKILLS

•Strong working knowledge of warehousing/distribution standard concepts, practices, and procedures preferred

•Basic working knowledge of Oracle Warehouse Management preferred

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

•At least 2 years of customer service experience in an office environment

•At least 1 year of powered industrial truck operation experience in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment*

 

*Warehouse environment has moderate powered industrial truck traffic, and may be cool in the winter and hot in the summer

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

•At least 1 year of customer service experience in an office environment supporting manufacturing or distribution preferred

•At least 2 years of experience in a role utilizing warehousing or distribution concepts preferred

•At least 1 year of experience using RF scanners to properly and accurately document materials or products preferred

•Current or previous successful employment experience with Pride Mobility Products Corporation preferred

 

PREFERRED EDUCATION

•High School Diploma or GED preferred

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
