Challenging Projects:
As an Intelligence Analyst and Space Planner, you will support NATO’s THOR initiative by developing space threat assessments, operational response playbooks, and contributing to space C2 and deterrence planning. This position is critical in identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing space-based threats from near-peer adversaries to rogue actors—ensuring NATO’s readiness and operational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop structured assessments of threats to NATO space-based assets (e.g., ASATs, cyber, jamming, spoofing).
- Support the development of threat taxonomy and mapping of threats to space ISR, PNT, and comms capabilities.
- Contribute to the Space Threat Response Playbook, aligning national and commercial capabilities with potential threat scenarios.
- Collaborate with NATO organizations (e.g., SHAPE, ACT, Space COE, CFSpCC) to validate and enhance threat scenarios.
- Analyze multi-domain operational planning requirements, especially in cross-cutting space-C2 contexts.
- Align operational and intelligence findings with NATO’s DDA family of plans and planning directives.
State-of-the-Art Technology:
Engage with cutting-edge tools for threat modeling, ISR integration, and space-C2 architecture development, including space situational awareness (SSA) and joint effects systems.
New Skills:
Develop your expertise in space intelligence fusion, cross-domain deterrence, and strategic threat analysis at the intersection of commercial and military space operations.
Room to Grow:
You will be involved in strategic policy delivery, operational planning, and the development of capability gap assessments that shape the future of NATO's defense posture.
You Have:
- Active NATO Secret clearance (or eligible) and U.S. Passport with no travel restrictions.
- 5+ years of intelligence analysis or DoD/NATO planning experience, with emphasis on space operations.
- Solid understanding of:
- Space-based ISR, SSA, and threat detection
- C2 architecture and cross-domain planning
- NATO’s space threat taxonomy and deterrence posture
- Intelligence fusion and strategic reporting
- Fluent in English and highly proficient in Microsoft Office and collaborative tools.
Nice to Haves:
- Prior experience working with or in SHAPE, CFSpCC, or Space COE.
- Familiarity with threat playbooks, ISR collection planning, or NATO red-teaming.
- Knowledge of launch services, SATCOM resilience, and space capability gap analysis.
Clearance:
Applicants must have an active NATO Secret clearance or be eligible for immediate read-in. U.S. citizens must also hold a valid U.S. Passport and meet NATO travel and clearance requirements. This is an on-site position in Norfolk, VA.
