The Project Engineer 1 is an entry-level role designed for individuals with foundational engineering knowledge and a desire to grow within the construction industry. This position supports self-perform operations by providing technical assistance, managing documentation, and contributing to field execution. The role emphasizes hands-on learning, collaboration, and exposure to core construction practices

Field Engineering

- Walk the jobsite to capture safety observations, progress photos, and identify issues.
- Assist the superintendent with day to day execution of work.
- Gain exposure to field crews and functional managers to understand construction sequencing and material placement.

- Assist with QA/QC, quantity take-offs, and site logistics plans using digital platforms.

Document Control

- Prepare, track, and distribute RFIs and submittals.

- Record quantities daily and facilitate weekly productivity reviews

- Manage tracking logs for purchased materials and rented equipment
- Attend and document project meetings, including recording minutes.
- Manage drawings, specifications, and project closeout documentation

- Facilitate installation work packages

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Strong communication and client service skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction software platforms.
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Willingness to travel and work in a dynamic field environment.

Work Environment

- Field-based role with exposure to active construction sites.
- Requires walking, standing, and observing field operations
- Travel to various project locations based on company needs.
