Job Title: Financial Analyst I
Pay & FSLA Status: Competitive Compensation, D.O.E.; Salary exempt
Regular Schedule & Shift: Monday – Friday; Day shift
Regular Weekly Hours: Full-time/40 hours per week (overtime as needed)
Paid Time Off (PTO): 80 hours accrued year 1; 120 hours accrued annually after year 1

POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, the Financial Analyst I is responsible for assisting in the preparation, coordination, and documentation of financial analysis projects. This position also works closely with both corporate and branch personnel to achieve financial goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with monthly and weekly reporting metrics, including territory sales and margin analysis, budget tracking, and product level trend reports.
- Drive innovation by continuously seeking enhanced and improved reporting methodology and uniformity across all branches.
- Support, analyze, and assist in the preparation and review of the company’s annual operating budget.
- Gather and prepare sales and margin details by product line and territory to provide accurate sales budgeting.
- Analyze and provide monthly variance analysis to identify and explain variances.
- Develop product cost/pricing modeling and help develop annual or periodic pricing across all product lines.
- Assist in creating monthly sales and OPEX adjustments as needed in the quarterly reforecasting updates.
- Report findings and make suggestions based on trend analysis and market conditions.
- Work with branch management to identify anticipated changes in sales forecasting.
- Participate in various ad-hoc analysis at the branch and corporate levels as needed by the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager.
- Work closely with the IT and Accounting teams to ensure proper recording of transactions to maintain integrity of various reporting.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required.
- Ability to construct and comprehend complex Excel modeling with database creations.
- Basic understanding/familiarity of GAAP accounting.
- Basic understanding of financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows).
- Ability to prioritize, re-prioritize as necessary, and meet multiple deadlines through-out the day efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision and a positive attitude. Must be flexible and ready to adapt within a fast-paced working environment while maintaining quality results.
- Demonstrated capability to build strong business relationships across all functions of the organization.
- Familiarity with SQL and/or Epicor Biz Track (preferred but not required).
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and spreadsheet analysis skills.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
- 1-5 years of relevant work experience in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Any combination of education, training, or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position will be accepted in place of the education and/or experience requirements listed for this role.
