Location: CTVSEH – Round Rock, TX  | Full-Time | Leadership Role
 
Are you a seasoned veterinary technician with a passion for mentorship, clinical excellence, and team development? Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital is seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to lead our Round Rock nursing team in delivering exceptional patient care, client service, and referral partner support.
 
What You’ll Do
As the on-site leader, this role is pivotal in driving both team performance and hospital operations. The manager fosters a culture of collaboration, mentorship, and continuous growth by guiding nursing, technical, and client service staff through onboarding, training, and career development. With a strong presence on the clinical floor, they balance administrative duties with hands-on support, ensuring seamless day-to-day functionality.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Team Development & Coaching: Empowering staff through regular feedback, conflict resolution, and leadership training.
  • Operational Oversight: Managing scheduling, payroll, inventory, and facility maintenance to optimize workflow and efficiency.
  • Client & Partner Engagement: Enhancing communication with referral partners and ensuring consistent, high-quality client experiences.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partnering with hospital leadership to align staffing, financial planning, and long-term goals with organizational values.
This role is instrumental in cultivating a respectful, accountable, and high-performing environment that reflects the hospital’s mission and drives sustainable success.
 
What You Bring
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in veterinary technology, business, or related field preferred.
  • 3+ years of veterinary experience in a specialty/emergency setting; leadership or management experience in a veterinary or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Veterinary Technician Credentialing (RVT/LVT) preferred, not required.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage schedules, and resolve conflicts.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and practice management systems.
Work Expectations
  • 40 hours/week, with at least 4 days on-site
  • Minimum of 10–12 hours/week in clinical support
  • Flexibility for after-hours and weekend coverage
  • Commitment to modeling healthy work-life balance
