As a part of the America’s team, SANY America in Peachtree City, GA is looking to recruit a driven, forward-thinking and highly motivated Parts Sales Data Analyst to join our team.
Position Overview
The Parts Sales Data Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the heavy equipment OEM’s dealer and key account parts sales business. This role is responsible for analyzing sales, pricing, and dealer inventory data to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable insights to leadership. The analyst will work closely with the Director of Sales, Regional Parts Sales Representatives, Data/Finance teams, and Dealer Partners to ensure sales growth targets are achieved, pricing remains competitive, and inventory aligns with demand.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Collect, consolidate, and analyze sales performance data from dealers, key accounts, and internal systems.
- Develop dashboards and reporting tools to track parts sales by category (filters, fluids, hoses, batteries, ground-engaging tools, etc.), dealer group, and customer segment.
- Monitor sales performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets, highlighting variances and opportunities.
- Measure sales capture rate, market share, and profitability across product categories.
Pricing & Profitability Support
- Support the development and monitoring of pricing strategies to ensure competitiveness and margin alignment.
- Track competitor pricing (e.g., Caterpillar, John Deere, Komatsu, etc.) and benchmark performance across the dealer network.
- Provide recommendations for pricing adjustments, discounts, and promotions.
Sales Program & Commission Support
- Provide analytical support for rebate programs, incentive structures, and commission tracking.
- Model sales performance scenarios to support leadership decision-making.
- Assist in measuring the impact of promotions, campaigns, and sales initiatives.
Collaboration & Communication
- Work with Regional Parts Sales Representatives to provide insights on dealer and account performance.
- Partner with Finance and Data teams to ensure accuracy of reporting and alignment with business KPIs.
- Deliver presentations and visual reports to leadership summarizing key findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Data Analytics, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in data analysis, preferably in aftermarket parts, heavy equipment, or industrial manufacturing.
- Experience working with dealer/distributor sales channels is preferred.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling) and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and CRM platforms.
- Ability to interpret complex datasets and communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Understanding of parts sales dynamics, pricing strategies, procurement processes and inventory management in an OEM/dealer environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
