Essential Job Functions:

The Chief R&O Inspector will report to the Director of Quality, and is responsible for regulatory compliance and all quality control duties to ensure the airworthiness of the articles this repair station maintains. The Chief Inspector has the final authority in the releasing to service within the scope of the Air Agency Certificate as revised. In addition, is responsible for direct planning, and laying out the details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by the repair station in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s specifications, and recommendations. The Chief Inspector is the primary contact with the FAA Administrator.

 

Functions:

•       Ensure that all inspections are properly performed, and that inspection records, reports and forms used by the repair station personnel are correctly executed prior to releasing the product for return to service.

•       Manage the Repair Station Training Program, including records resulting from and ensuring revisions made are submitted to the CHDO for review and approval.

•       Maintain Job Packages and inspection forms in such a manner that the file pertaining to a specific item repaired can be readily located for review.

•       Maintain and control of the Repair Station Rosters, Training Records and Employment Summaries.

•       Assure that all PME used in the Repair Station is maintained and calibrated per the calibration program and that records are current and properly maintained.

•       Participate in Corrective Action Investigation and Response.

•       Participate in the review, approval and re-approval of Repair Station documents and personnel prior to issue and hire.

•       Preform final inspection using appropriate technical data.

•       Other duties as assigned.

 

 

Education and Experience:

Required:

·       A&P (Airframe and Powerplant) License

·       5 years of Federal Aviation Regulations

·       3 years of Quality Inspection experience

·       Proficient in Microsoft Office

 

Preferred:

·       IPC/WHMA-A-620 Wire Harness Assemblies Certification

·       Experience with electromechanical assemblies and cable harnesses.

·       Experience with Honeywell product.

·       Strong leadership traits with a focus on good communication and interpersonal skills.
