Your Role
As an Analyst, Structured Finance, you will support Arbor’s Structured Finance Underwriting team in evaluating and executing complex financing transactions. You’ll be responsible for gathering and analyzing borrower and property information, preparing credit memorandums, and assisting underwriters with due diligence and loan structuring. This role provides hands-on exposure to structured real estate products, loan processing, and portfolio analysis.
What You’ll Do
Review and analyze borrower and guarantor financial statements, tax returns, and cash flow statements
Assist underwriters in building analytical models, credit packages, and underwriting narratives
Conduct financial and credit reviews for structured loan applications
Coordinate with credit, portfolio, operations, and product specialists to support underwriting, closing, and transition to portfolio management
Order and review third-party reports such as appraisals, collateral reviews, background checks, and accounting due diligence
Participate in on-site due diligence, including property inspections
Track loan applications, manage loan files, and ensure accurate documentation
Gather market data for supply and demand analysis to support deal evaluations
Communicate with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of structured finance transactions
What You Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or related discipline
1–2 years of experience in finance or related field; experience in real estate, valuations, risk/financial analysis, capital markets, or workouts preferred
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of Word and Outlook
Strong financial, analytical, and project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
A quick learner with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
Loan processing, analysis, or origination experience a plus
Travel up to 20%
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $65,000 – $75,000, plus discretionary performance-based bonus
