Candidates MUST be geographically located in or near New York, New York with a willingness to work on-site in ePlus' 1 Penn Plaza office, three days per week.
As a Client Security Principal (CSP), you will be responsible for ePlus’ regional security business, working in concert with the regional vice president (RVP) and services leadership. This position is critical to the company’s security success and is the primary catalyst for achieving our growth objectives within the assigned territory.
Responsibilities:
YOUR IMPACT
Strategic Leadership & Business Growth
Partner with the Regional Vice President (RVP) and Services Leadership to co-own the regional security business, including financial goals, business planning, and forecasting.
Develop and execute a regional security business plan aligned with company objectives.
Drive growth in both security product and services sales, with a focus on accelerating services revenue.
Customer Engagement & Thought Leadership
Engage directly with top strategic accounts to provide security expertise and uncover high-value opportunities.
Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering strategic guidance across the full security portfolio.
Sales Enablement & Coaching
Coach field teams to adopt a hyper-growth mindset in the security segment.
Provide clear direction on focus technologies, strategic partnerships, and enablement activities.
Mentor Solutions Architects to support career development and regional strategic goals.
Security Sales Execution
Support field sales in opportunity qualification, pipeline development, and account penetration.
Operate with executive presence and strong business acumen, promoting a services-led approach to client engagement.
Customize and implement the global security go-to-market strategy at the regional level.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Align with teams across cloud, data center, networking, collaboration, and services to promote a “security everywhere” approach.
Collaborate with partner alliance management and marketing to drive joint account planning and demand generation.
Practice Development & Enablement
Contribute to the development of ePlus intellectual property, services roadmap, and marketing initiatives.
Coordinate ongoing enablement for sales and engineering teams to support the approved go-to-market strategy.
Participate in public speaking engagements and thought leadership forums as needed.
Operational Excellence
Provide accurate forecasting of security sales within the territory.
Ensure alignment with global shared services including assessments, advisory, and managed services.
Track and report on performance metrics, ensuring accountability and transparency.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA/BS in Business, Management, Computer Science or Engineering field preferred
Minimum of 5+ years of experience selling and positioning Security solutions
Proven success selling solutions at the CXO and VP level
Proven experience in security sales, consulting, or practice leadership.
Deep expertise in areas such as Network Security, Advanced Threats, Security Operations, Cloud Security, and Managed Services.
Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority.
CISSP certification (or equivalent) is preferred
Willingness to travel regularly within assigned territory, as well as occasional national travel to company meetings and events
Knowledge and experience selling Security products and services
Previous success in designing, developing, and implementing IT solutions within the security discipline
Must be fully knowledgeable and able to competently discuss, plan, and support deployment efforts around IT solutions using five or more of the following domains:
Network Security
Advanced Threat
Cloud Security
Data Protection and Privacy
Security Operations and Analysis
Endpoint Security
Application Security
Ability to conduct executive level (CISO, CIO) dialogue and presentations
Marketing program execution and follow-up
Building and executing on a territory business plan
Account planning, opportunity qualification, pipeline development, and opportunity pursuit
Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving and time management skills
Ability to work well in a matrix managed environment
Field enablement, coaching, and mentoring in Security selling
Proven ability to leverage subject matter experts to further the sales process
Able to work independently and proactively
POSITION SPECIFICS
The initial base salary range for this position is expected to be between $170,000 and $190,000 annually. The final base salary offered will be determined by multiple factors, including, but not limited to, job-related knowledge, depth of experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, our compensation package may include other components such as commissions and discretionary bonuses.
