Key Responsibilities:
- Will execute assigned daily assignments, manage daily operations demands and support the security, Team with call out, schedule changes, timecards/punches, and meal breaks.
- Assist with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the security management program which includes operational policies, procedures, and standards for guest, visitor and Team Member safety, resort’s internal security, traffic control, risk management, surveillance, patrol, and protection of assets under the control of the organization.
- Strongly support the resort safety program to promote and ensure a safe working environment.
- Maintain security systems, ensuring they are functioning properly and efficiently. Conduct Team Member training on proper use of all security systems.
- Coordinate and respond to emergencies as a member of the Emergency Response Team.
- Conduct and coordinate the training of Team Members on the resort life safety systems, emergency response and evacuation policies and procedures.
- Follow up on all unusual activities in and around the property that would impair the wellbeing of guests and Team Members.
- Liaise with local authorities and emergency services during crisis situations to coordinate response efforts.
- Review all incident reports (missing property, guest injuries, guest illness, crime reports etc.) and assist HR with Team Member related investigations. Oversee the process/procedures for security related investigations and assist with more in-depth investigations due to the time-consuming nature of the task. i.e. video review, identifying suspects, accessing Team Member records with HR assistance.
- Support the coordination of a variety of quarterly drills i.e. fire, active assailant, water rescue etc.
- Collaborate with the leadership team and other stakeholders in strategizing and developing initiatives to enhance safety and security.
- Support the daily security & transportation operations and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
- Support the management of the day-to-day operations of the Security/Transportation Command Center.
- Assist in managing the claims process and protects company assets by closely monitoring the General Liability and Worker's Compensation cases.
- Recruit, train, and supervise a team of security personnel, including hiring, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, recognition and when necessary.
- Onboard new security officers and provide systems access, uniforms, equipment, and other needs.
- Able to handle conflict and challenging situations. Provide guidance and assistance to guests and Team Members regarding security-related matters, ensuring a high level of customer service excellence.
- Foster a positive work environment, promoting teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to ethical standards.
- Assist with the preparation, implementation, and management of departmental budget.
- Record, track, code and submit departmental invoices to Accounting for month end billing.
- Keep an accurate inventory of supplies and equipment and place orders as needed.
- Build strong relationships with key leaders, administrative staff, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders. Support other departments whenever possible through direct and indirect action.
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; advocates sound financial/business decision making; demonstrates honesty/integrity; leads by example.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local safety laws, regulations, codes, and rules.
- Flexible to work at different assigned locations based on operations demand.
- Maintain the highest level of confidentiality on Team Member/HR issues & guest relations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education, Skills, and Experience:
- High School Diploma required, associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred.
- At least five years of safety and/or security experience required.
- Advanced training or certification in safety and security preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of security protocols and emergency preparedness.
- Extensive knowledge of company safety policies and applicable Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Able to communicate in other languages, preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent communication, people person, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with a wide range of people.
- Excels at customer service and relationship building.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

- Proficient in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software.
- Self-starter that can work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to conduct training.
- Ability and experience to manage, supervise and develop Team Members’ talents to enhance teamwork, company image and cost-effective productivity.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and rotating schedules.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to safely lift, pull and push up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach periodically.
- Able to sit and use the computer for hours at a time.
- Subject to environmental conditions, work activities can occur inside and outside.
- Visually look at a computer for extended periods.
- Repetitive hand motions, such as typing.
- Must possess a valid driver license state FL and must have an acceptable driving record based on company policy
- Ability to drive a motor vehicle, golf cart and ride a Trikke™.
