Job Description & Summary

At PwC, our Operations & Procurement practice helps clients across diverse industries strengthen their core operations, supply chains, and procurement functions to reduce costs, enhance service levels, and mitigate risk. We provide comprehensive advisory services spanning procurement strategy and category management, strategic sourcing, supplier relationship and performance management, inventory and network optimization, demand & supply planning (S&OP), process and operating model redesign, and digital/analytics enablement—including automation, business intelligence, and procurement platforms.

As a Senior Associate in Operations & Procurement Consulting, you will bring strong business judgment, analytical rigor, and practical implementation experience to diagnose challenges, design pragmatic solutions, and support clients through execution to deliver measurable business outcomes.

Meaningful work you’ll be part of 

As a Senior Associate, Operations & Procurement, Consulting (Bilingual FR/EN), you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. You will be a key contributor to project teams delivering complex engagements across North America—from targeted assessments and pilots to large-scale, end-to-end digital transformations. Working with client stakeholders at all levels (from junior to executive), PwC colleagues (onshore and offshore), and third-party vendors. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Demonstrate deep expertise in business transformations focused on cost reduction, process improvement, performance enhancement, and technology implementation. 
  • Lead diagnostics and root-cause analyses, developing financial and operational models to quantify opportunities and evaluate trade-offs. 
  • Conduct procurement assessments, design sourcing and category strategies, and support supplier segmentation, governance frameworks, selection, and onboarding activities.
  • Develop recommendations for Distribution Center design, inventory management, automation, logistics, and transportation improvements.
  • Drive enhancements in demand and supply planning (S&OP) processes and support implementation efforts, including procurement platform/ERP enablement, process redesign, piloting, testing, and change management to embed new operating models. 
  • Utilize analytics, automation, and visualization tools to extract insights, prioritize initiatives, and enable scalable, data-driven solutions. 
  • Prepare and present client-ready deliverables, articulating findings and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders. 
  • Lead mixed teams of consulting and client resources (2-3 people) through assessments, implementations, and ongoing continuous improvement activities, overseeing engagement risk, planning, and budgeting to ensure project economics are effectively managed.
  • Build and sustain trusted relationships with key client decision-makers, facilitating long-term collaboration, and mentor and coach junior team members while contributing to proposal development, solution innovation, and thought leadership efforts.
  • Engage proactively in your personal and professional growth through structured coaching, skill development, participation in recruitment, and staff development initiatives, while demonstrating flexibility and readiness to travel up to 70% to support client engagements and successful project delivery.

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a closely related discipline; and 3 to 4+ years of professional experience within a leading management consulting firm or relevant industry role (operations, supply chain, procurement). 

  • Hands-on expertise in procurement, encompassing category management and strategic sourcing (direct and indirect), supplier management, and spend analytics; familiarity with sustainable and agile procurement practices is an asset. 

  • Proven track record of delivering end-to-end business transformations or operational improvement programs and partnering with operations teams to translate business needs into effective technology solutions. 

  • Expertise in supply chain operations: DC design, Transport optimization, Automatization, Network Design 

  • Analysis and practical knowledge of agile methodologies with experience applying agile principles to project delivery; strong capabilities in process optimization and facilitation of value-stream mapping and business process workshops. 

  • Excellent client-facing communication and presentation skills, with demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders at multiple seniority levels and lead workstreams effectively. 

  • Strong analytical and modeling skills (advanced simulation tools); leveraging data to quantify opportunities and support fact-based decision-making. 

  • Familiarity with digital and analytics tools such as Power BI/Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, or basic Python; comfortable working with procurement or ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa, Ariba). 

  • High professional integrity, collaborative mindset, proactive ownership, and a strong passion for learning and mentoring others, and willingness to travel as required. 

  • The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada
