Summary: 

Gain knowledge and experience by participating in an 18-month rotation program developed to provide the necessary skills, knowledge, attitudes, guidance and practical experience required to prepare trainees for future placement within the Bank

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work within the various divisions of the Bank to experience on-the-job training through short and long-term assignments to learn the job functions of each department. Learn the front line and staff functions, operations, management, and company policies and practices within each department. Observe experienced employees to acquire knowledge of methods, procedures and standards required for performance of duties. 
  • Participate in various special projects and committees as assigned. Complete all necessary internal Core Curriculums, required compliance courses, credit training, sales training, and any other assigned courses all completed within the time frame of the program. 
  • Develop effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels of the Bank. Project a positive and professional image of the Bank in all internal and external relationships consistent with Columbia’s ethical standards, Creed of Shared Values, Service Guidelines, and the Bank’s commitment to the community. 
  • Meet with the Program Manager on a regular basis to monitor progress, provide valuable feedback, and communicate individual successes, opportunities, and achievements.

  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements: 

  • College graduate with a minimum GPA of 3.0;
  • Strong desire to pursue a career in local community banking, financial services, and leadership;
  • Leadership experience in student organizations, internships, community service, athletics, or relevant work experience;
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical and presentation skills;
  • Strong financial acumen;
  • Adaptable to change;
  • Technologically proficient, with experience using Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Customer-centric mindset with the ability to collaborate and build relationships throughout the Bank;
  • Exemplifies the Three C’s of Columbia: Customer, Community and Co-workers;
  • Results oriented with proven track record to motivate self and others to accomplish objectives;
  • A strong positive attitude and the ability to communicate effectively;
  • Strong commitment to customer service and community support;
  • Ability to represent the Bank in the community to develop and promote additional business;

Schedule:

This role is eligible for a hybrid schedule; 3 days in the office and 2 days work from home based on business need.
