POSITION SUMMARY:

The training coordinator is responsible for the ‘administrative’ side of the business; he/she works with programs to ensure that all employees receive the knowledge to perform their jobs. The training coordinator might also assist with new training programs and/or update existing programs. He/she will need to be ‘well versed’ in excel, word and PDF. Training sessions for employees may also include safety policies and procedures, sexual harassment awareness training, and any others as assigned. Position will also have direct hands-on involvement dealing with all programs associated to the Learning Management System (LMS).

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Maintain training records, manually and through computer database (LMS system)
  • Have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Adobe PDF X.
  • Coordinate required yearly drug/alcohol training, OJT training with operational departments, and outside employee development training including Supervisory Drug and Alcohol training.
  • Maintain an FAA approved company-training manual.
  • Maintain management reports from training database/LMS.
  • Maintain technical library to support in-house training requirements.
  • Perform any/all administrative functions of the Training Department as assigned.
  • As required/requested, can assist in New Hire Employee Orientation.
  • Coordinate Student travel/hotel arrangements.
  • Coordinate training contracts with outside vendors.
  • Assist Training Manager and/or Instructors in preparation for Technical Training.
  • Coordinate and maintain Training manuals and training support equipment.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Education:

  • High School Diploma required, prefer 2/4 year Degree

Experience:

  • Generally 1-3 years of experience in area of responsibility, experience in administrative/clerical role.
  • Prefer practical experience with audit procedures (may be met by formal auditor training, prior experience as an auditor

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Helpful if candidate has knowledge of safety and operating procedures while working around aircraft.
  • Knowledgeable of the following applicable regulations: FAA; NFPA; OSHA.
  • Ability to understand company SOP’s and customer GMM’s.

Working Conditions / Environment / Special Requirements

  • FAA, OSHA, EPA, State and Federal regulations.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and different shifts as needed, to include weekends and/or 2nd/3rd shift schedule.
