Job Duties: Manage, lead and grow the Enterprise Applications Team consisting of Systems Analysts who plan and execute projects through the entire Software Development Lifecycle in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other internal adjacent systems as well as external business partners. Provide technical and organizational guidance, mentorship and oversight to team members in the logistics and finance applications area. Lead the expansion of BCS’ Enterprise Application landscape in line with the company’s global IT strategy, which include the pillar applications of SAP ERP, Concur, Avalara, Paymetric and other applications in the area of logistics and finance processes. Drive the landscape expansion to cloud-based applications (including modern support models and vendor engagement). Oversee the definition and execution of BCS’ local and global IT roadmap. Collaborate with and influence key IT partners and business teams in the Berlin Headquarters. Collaborate with key local business partners, provide consulting and best practices towards middle and senior management in sales, finance and logistics. Provide central functions for the team, which includes project and portfolio planning, capacity planning and expansion, objective and performance management. Act as escalation point for application related issues and handle VIP communication. Define and execute support and governance models for existing and new applications. Plan and execute projects through the entire Software Development Lifecycle in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other internal adjacent systems as well as external business partners. Deliver hands-on system work packages and actively shape future systems landscape. Provide new and updated solutions in order to optimize operations and support business goals. Document problems and facilitate solution discussions. Position requires 4 weeks of domestic and international travel per year.
Requirements: Applicants must have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and 5 years of functional experience as a Senior Consultant, SAP SD Consultant, in SAP ERP with logistics, supply chain, and/or finance flows, including the following:
- 5 years’ experience with Business to Consumer (B2C), Business to Business (B2B), eCommerc
- 5 years’ experience with 3rd party ordering, customer consignment, international trade, incoterms, shipping and carrier integration, returns handling, customer self-service
- 5 years’ experience with financial processes in Software Applications and Products (SAP) (material valuation, freight handling, revenue capturing, U.S. taxation rules, eCommerce taxation and payment methods and tools)
- 5 years’ experience creating process flow diagrams to visualize complex scenarios and dependencies
- 5 years’ experience in global project management / project leadership working as a consultant / business analyst in a global system environment and organization
- 3 years’ experience with process automation, marketing functions, Customer Relationship Management (CRM) integration, and with reading, debugging, and troubleshooting Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) code and SAP system enhancements
- 3 years’ experience in system integration methods between Enterprise Applications such as Remote Function Call (RFC), Business Application Programming Interface (BAPI), Intermediary Document (IDOC), Proxy Objects, Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) standards, Web Services such Representational State Transfer (REST) and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)
