Senior Finance Analyst 

REPORTS TO: Investor Relations 

STATUS:  Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY

LDG Development, a leader in multifamily development, offers an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join its team. We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to assist in coordinating real estate transactions from inception to closing. In this role, you will help produce detailed and dynamic models for real estate transactions and oversee projects related to the sale, refinance, and disposition of properties and partnership interests.   Pay and benefits are competitive and commensurate with experience.

The Analyst is responsible for fulfilling comprehensive tasks and meeting requirements associated with multifamily development in all markets where the company operates.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

• Participate in analyzing potential sale, refinance, and disposition transactions from conception to closing
 • Become knowledgeable in the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit industry
 • Create and maintain complex financial models in connection with the valuation and of multifamily assets and partnership interests
 • Develop long-term financial projections and operating budgets
 • Calculate surplus cash flow, debt coverage ratio, and other metrics
 • Analyze and interpret partnership agreements, loans, and other documents

• Gather and organize due diligence materials in an efficient manner
 • Prepare sale/refinance/disposition analysis
 • Help review letters of intent, applications for financing, and sale agreements

• Work closely with third-party report providers to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.
 • Negotiate with multiple parties on behalf of LDG and keep abreast of and understand current financing programs, rates, and underwriting criteria

• Various special projects and other responsibilities

 MINIMUM SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education/job experience required
  • Qualified applicants should have strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office software (including Excel)
  • Must show strong project management experience
  • Must have organizational, communication, interpersonal, and writing skills, 
  • Must have two or more years of previous experience in a real estate or other financial roles where financial modeling, processing transactions, and management of details are essential.
