Our seasonal associate help with this mission by keeping the salesfloor tidy and organized, stocking displays to be sure customers can find what they are shopping for and fulfilling customer orders by efficiently finding items in the store and shipping them out to customers.
Store Operations Responsibilities:
- Unload product from boxes. Tag, fold, hang, and stage merchandise for display.
- Restock merchandise on the sales floor and bring product to the floor for display.
- Efficiently recover displays including rehanging, refolding, retagging, and restocking from backstock with attention to detail.
- Assist cashiers and customers with loading purchased product including curbside pickups.
- Ensure registers are filled with supplies.
- Restock consumable displays (pop, candy, etc.) with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Organize shopping carts and baskets and disperse between floors.
- Collect clothing hangers and organize in the freight room hanger area.
- Correctly distribute items back to the sales floor from the registers or online returns.
Online Shopping Responsibilities:
- Shop and organize items to complete orders from assigned shopping lists
- Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping
- Communicate with leadership to resolve problems or questions
- Execute projects to complete the task on time, and revise as appropriate to meet requirements
General Responsibilities:
- Maintain an orderly appearance of work area, general cleaning, and organization around the store and in back stock areas.
- Ability to navigate store technology including handheld phones and inventory scanner, Microsoft Office programs, and basic computer knowledge.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, and the ability to be organized and multitask.
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and other associates.
- Ability to work independently and with the team.
- Exercise judgment and tact and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization.
- Be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere, and treat others with respect and consideration while following Scheels' policies and procedures.
- Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and support leads.
- Ability to work the assigned schedule which may include; varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- All seasonal associates will be required to be available to work Black Friday (11/28/2025) through Cyder Monday (12/1/2025) to meet the scheduling needs of the store.

Education & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma, or general education degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:
Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.
Very heavy work - Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for heavy work.
