Full Time - 40 hours- Exempt position
Salary range: $81,600-$122,400 annually (dependent on experience)
Job Summary: The Financial Controller will oversee the accounting operations, financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and internal controls for our organization. Major responsibilities include preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, budget creation, and liaising with auditors, all while providing financial analysis to aid strategic decision-making by senior leadership

Core Technology Competencies: Demonstrated working knowledge of computer operations, standard office equipment (copiers, faxes, etc.) and must be able to utilize all Microsoft Office services. Experience with Blackbaud Financial Edge and Paylocity systems preferred.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and program budgets and actual expenditures.
- Coordinate all audit activity.
- Consistently analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep senior leadership abreast of LCAP’s financial status.
- Assist LCAP’s leadership in the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.
- Analyze all company assets, income, anticipated expenses, and liabilities and make recommendations.
- Oversee all financial, project/program and grants accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with grant and program budgets throughout the grant/fund period; collate financial reporting materials for government, corporate, and foundation grants.
- Perform other related duties as needed or as assigned.

General Requirements: Commitment and desire to provide excellent service to all clients and aging community members. Maintain predictable and regular attendance, work stated hours, communicate, comprehend and follow policies and procedures and develop and maintain positive working relationships with all staff. Must be able to satisfactorily perform all of the job responsibilities and meet the physical requirements of that same job title. All employees must possess and maintain a Valid Ohio Driver’s License, as well as the minimum auto insurance coverage for Ohio (must be able to provide proof upon request).
This position is subject to a pre-employment credit check conducted in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Candidates selected to move forward in the selection process will be asked to execute a written authorization prior to Licking County Aging Partners obtaining any consumer report.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent relevant work experience required.
- CPA designation strongly desired.
- 3-5 years of experience, preferably with a non-profit organization.
- Experience coordinating audit activities and managing reporting, budget development and analysis, accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, payroll, and accounting for investments.
- A track record in grants management as it relates to compliance and reporting of government, corporate and foundation grants.
- Technologically savvy with experience overseeing accounting and reporting software.
- Keen analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; experience in effectively communicating key data, including presentations to management, board or other outside partners.
- Ability and desire to translate financial concepts to individuals at all levels including finance and non-finance managers.
