Description
We are seeking a dynamic and organized Employee Engagement Coordinator to join our HR team on a part-time basis. This role is responsible for supporting and executing employee engagement initiatives across multiple locations. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating meaningful employee experiences and is comfortable traveling frequently to support on-site events and programs across the company footprint. This individual should be creative, detail-oriented, and able to balance multiple priorities while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Core Functions of the Role:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute employee engagement activities, including wellness programs, recognition events, and team-building initiatives
- Travel regularly to company locations to support in-person engagement efforts (estimated 30–50% travel)
- Collaborate with HR and department leaders to assess engagement needs and develop tailored solutions
- Manage employee surveys and feedback tools; analyze results and recommend improvements
- Maintain engagement calendars, budgets, and vendor relationships
- Support internal communications related to engagement programs
- Track and report on engagement metrics to measure program effectiveness and recommend enhancements
- Serve as a point of contact for employees with questions or suggestions related to engagement programs
Requirements

- 2+ years of experience in HR, employee engagement, or event coordination
- Knowledge of best practices in employee engagement, wellness, or change management
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours as needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and virtual collaboration tools
- Experience working in a multi-site or remote workforce environment is a plus
- Strong organizational and project management skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Preferred: Background in hospitality, communications, or organizational development
- Preferred: Experience with employee recognition platforms or HRIS tools
Education and/or Experience: High school diploma or equivalent; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Post-secondary education or advanced training beyond the minimum requirement is preferred and will be considered an asset.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
