About the Department
Position Duties
- Plans, facilitates, coordinates and implements projects and program activities, including delivery of services to clients in collaboration with key community partners
- Facilitates targeting of participants and the referral process; compiles, analyzes, and verifies data to assist in the preparation of reports and statistical records
- Coordinates LRC meetings and events; Assist in fiscal management through submission of accurate invoices
- Completes MOUs or service agreements or contracts
- Position serves as liaison to agency partners such as adult probation officers, treatment providers, and social service agencies to monitor participant progress
- Prepares written reports and provides oral information at staff meetings
- Enters data into a case management information system; Gathers additional partners and resources for effective program delivery and local community
- Provide daily supervision to reentry caseworker. Supervision includes hiring, training, time/attendance, performance evaluations and disciplinary actions
Minimum Qualifications
Experience with direct supervision of staff
Case management experience working with veterans, human trafficking, and adults/families with substance abuse history or justice involved individuals.

- Knowledge of the principles and practices of case management
- Knowledge of budgets and invoice processing
- Knowledge of the principals of supervision
- Knowledge of interviewing methods and techniques
- Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health assessments and services
- Knowledge of diagnostic methods and principles
- Knowledge of basic structure of the civil and criminal justice systems
- Ability to use MS Word and Excel to create communication documents and spreadsheets and MS PowerPoint to create presentations
- Ability to identify symptoms of substance abuse
- Ability to solve problems analytically, maintain records, files and reports and coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing and maintain cooperative working relationships with court staff and individuals outside of the judicial branch
- Ability to develop and foster a spirit of teamwork to improve the quality of work teams and committees and to bring people from different agencies together to accomplish the goals of the program

Driving is an essential function of this position. To be considered, you must have a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. If your driver's license is from another state, you will be required to obtain and show proof of a valid NC driver's license within 60 days of hire.
