Your Mission as a Meat Cutter
Our Meat Cutters are the backbone of the kitchen team. You’ll cut, trim, season, and prepare meats to precise specifications, ensuring every meal that leaves our kitchen is delicious, safe, and consistent. Beyond the technical skills, this role is about passion for quality, pride in craftsmanship, and dedication to keeping our standards high.
What You’ll Do
Cut, trim, and portion meats to exact recipe and weight specifications
Mix and apply spice blends, rubs, and seasonings according to recipe guides.
Break down meats from primal and sub-primal cuts to the finished product.
Maintain accurate par levels and support the ordering process.
Inspect, clean, and sanitize all tools and prep surfaces to ensure food safety.
Label, date, and properly store all products to prevent cross-contamination.
Operate equipment such as grinders, slicers, saws, wrapping machines, and scales.
Follow ingredient reports to ensure sufficient product for production.
Work as part of a high-performing culinary team while upholding Fitlife’s standards for safety, quality, and fun.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of meat cutting or related food prep experience
Knowledge of inventory management, ordering practices, and meat breakdown techniques
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipe guides
Passion for your craft, openness to feedback, and drive to grow
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and extended hours as needed
Physical Requirements
Lift 40–50 lbs and perform repetitive tasks (cutting, bending, kneeling, standing)
Comfortable working in cold environments (meat cooler below 40°F)
Clear communication skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions
