As the International Tax Senior Manager, a national business line role, you’ll have primary responsibility for the management and delivery of U.S. international tax services for clients across various industries and market segments. You’ll collaborate closely with partners and managing directors while teaming with managers, associates, and other teammates from around the globe to lead our teams in identifying and solving complex business issues through deploying a wide range of Grant Thornton solutions in a collaborative manner, ensuring quality above all, because together is how we succeed.

Your day-to-day may include:
- Overseeing and directing the efforts of multiple client services teams on client engagements; planning, executing, directing, and completing international tax projects; providing innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise to clients; marketing, selling, designing, and implementing tax-planning strategies for clients and managing engagements to budget
- Overseeing the delivery of a full range of international tax services and advising U.S. and foreign multinational companies on the tax implications of their international operations as well as coordinating U.S. tax laws with foreign tax laws to develop an efficient worldwide tax strategy
- Participate in business development activities and other professional industry or community events to enhance your own and the firm’s brand
- Consulting with clients on tax-efficient structuring of international transactions, effective use of tax treaties, planning related to offshore investment activities and repatriation strategies to minimize U.S. and foreign income taxes
- Developing a project vision and setting challenging personal and client service team goals
- Responsible for quality assurance on all managed service offerings
- Facilitating client understanding of international tax development implications
- Working closely with partners, managers, and associates to integrate practice development skills into a team approach to client service and new business development
- Other job duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills and qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Minimum seven to ten years of progressive tax consulting experience, preferably with at least three years focused on international taxation
- Experience with a large accounting firm, law firm, or corporate tax department of a multinational company
- CPA or JD/active law license required
- Advanced analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills with proficiency in U.S. tax compliance and consulting
- Strong computer expertise including knowledge of tax software and technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Can travel as needed
