Centurion is proud to be a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare services to correctional facilities, state hospitals, and community mental health centers nationwide.
We are currently seeking an Azure Administrator to join our Corporate team located in Sterling, Virginia.
Qualified candidates must reside within a 25 mile commute to Sterling as this is a 100% onsite position.
The Azure Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s Azure cloud environment, ensuring security, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency. This role collaborates with architects, infrastructure and security engineers, and external software vendors to support day-to-day operations and long-term cloud strategy.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Deploy, configure, and maintain Azure resources (VMs, storage, networking, identity, security).
- Manage Azure Active Directory / Entra ID users, groups, roles, and hybrid identity integrations.
- Implement and enforce governance policies (naming conventions, tagging, Azure Policy, FinOps).
- Monitor performance, and availability using Azure Monitor.
- Monitor cost and create dashboard and Cost report using Power BI or other tools.
- Configure backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
- Ensure security posture through RBAC, Defender for Cloud, and compliance with frameworks (NIST, HIPAA, FedRAMP, etc.).
- Automate operational tasks with PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Terraform/ARM/Bicep templates.
- Troubleshoot incidents and resolve operational issues across Azure services.
- Owning and maintaining the accuracy of cost reporting dashboards and financial data models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Infrastructure, Security, Operations, and Platform teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues quickly, maintaining high system availability.
- Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide support to end-users and application teams.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent field experience
- 2–4+ years of hands-on Azure administration (IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security).
- AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate) certificate required
- Strong knowledge of Azure Active Directory / Entra ID and RBAC.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
- Familiarity with networking (VNets, VPN Gateway, ExpressRoute, Load Balancers, NSGs).
- Experience managing storage (blob, file, encryption, replication).
- Proficiency with scripting and automation (PowerShell, Azure CLI, Terraform or Bicep).
- Knowledge of backup, DR, and site recovery solutions.
- Exposure to hybrid environments (on-premises AD, Azure Arc, ADFS).
- Familiarity with FinOps practices (budgeting, cost tracking, optimization).
- Understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP).
- AZ-500 (Azure Security Engineer), AZ-700 (Azure Network Engineer) certificates not required but highly preferred.
