Job Description:

The College of Health Solutions Student Success Hub is seeking an innovative, proactive, and student-centered individual that can coordinate multiple tasks and priorities that involve initiative, independent judgment and attention to detail for the role of Graduate Support Coordinator. This position serves as a key contributor to increasing student enrollment, retention and graduation through planning, organizing and coordinating admissions and advising processes. Additionally, this role coordinates and assists with several aspects of our graduate programs, our external outreach initiatives and frequently interacts with varied students, staff, faculty and external constituents. The Graduate Support Coordinator holistically advances college-wide enrollment, retention and graduation through supporting academic program leaders with curriculum, class scheduling and collaborating with faculty and program directors regarding degree programs they work with, presenting at and assisting with new student orientations, and supporting college and university strategic plans and goals. A strong background and comfort level with technology is essential as position includes tracking and monitoring student progress, and using data and technology to quickly respond to student inquiries and time-sensitive campaigns and projects. The College of Health Solutions supports a varied array of both online and immersion graduate degree programs, including behavioral health, biomedical informatics and diagnostics, strength and conditioning, nutritional science, health care delivery, and speech and hearing science.

Pay Range:

$57,900 - $60,000; DOE

Essential Duties:

  • Assist students with completing application process and partner with the recruitment team and other units at ASU to track application materials.
  • Package complete admission applications and collaborate with faculty committee on review process.
  • Process admission decisions in PeopleSoft, send welcome materials to students, and assist students with enrollment.
  • Assist students with course recommendations, course overrides, and capacity overrides as appropriate.
  • Provide consistent outreach and communication to student population regarding enrollment and other high priority initiatives.
  • Process administrative transactions on behalf of students and interpret and enforce policies and procedures.
  • Counsel and confer with students providing academic guidance, problem solving and resolution.
  • Review plans of study for accuracy and ensure students are prepared for timely completion for graduation.
  • Work closely with leadership to monitor student progress and provide reports as needed.
  • Coordinate with the International Student Scholars Office to communicate international student policies and procedures.
  • Provide assistance, information and guidance to faculty and program directors.
  • Attend curriculum and faculty meetings for assigned degree programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with recruitment team, communications team, and program directors to provide overall student support and success.
  • Attend and support recruitment events, convocation, orientation and other special events as needed.
  • Identify, develop and maintain working relationships with the university for support as appropriate to work assignment.
  • Actively engage in team meetings, staff meetings, and 1:1's. Attend and represent the program, school, and university at professional development workshops, on committees, and focus groups.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Evidence of a master's degree in education/higher education, student affairs, or closely related field.
  • Experience advising online and immersion campus students in a higher education setting.
  • Experience advising masters and doctoral students.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of international student policy and the needs of the international student population.
  • Experience in discussing financial aid, registrar requirements, veterans' benefits, and academic progress with students.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Graduate College policies and procedures.
  • Experience and efficiency working with and using Salesforce and PeopleSoft.
  • Evidence of proven success in advising students via Salesforce, phone communication, and in-person meetings.
  • Experience in completing a multi-step process with attention to detail. 
  • Experience in changing environments while maintaining a positive and productive outlook. 
  • Experience in contributing to team morale and engaging team and supervisor in constructive conversation.
