About the Role

The Business Analytics Lead is responsible for providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making across the organization. This position leads the development and maintenance of key performance indicator (KPI) reporting, program/customer profitability analysis, and data integrity initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • KPI Reporting and Analysis: Develop regular reports & dashboard incorporating different departments (financial, R&D, delivery & operations, project) to assess trends and business performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and supporting strategic decisions. (Tool: Qliksense)
  • Program/customer profitability: Collaborate with finance, operations, and engineering teams to gather data on program & customer performance and profitability. Analyze program financials to identify trends, optimize cost, and maximize profitability.
  • Insight Presentation: Translate complex data findings into concise and impactful recommendations & reports for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Data Integrity: validate the accuracy and consistency across all data and reports, implementing best practices in data management for the KPI dashboards & reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively seek opportunities, manage data/business analysis initiatives to enhance the analytical capabilities & efficiency of the department, including incorporating new data sources and analytical tools.

What You Need

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in spreadsheet applications (i.e. Excel); business intelligence (e.g., Looker, Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik Sense) or CRM/CPQ (e.g. Salesforce) software is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as QlikSense, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including Power Query, PivotTables, and VBA (if applicable).
  • Strong understanding of SQL for data querying and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of statistical or analytical or Machine learning tools such as Python, R, or SAS is a plus. Ability to build and maintain data pipelines and ensure data quality.

What is nice to have

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent work experience) required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in business/data analysis, financial analysis, operations, reporting, data analytics, data science, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role, leading cross-functional teams, or analytics teams.
  • Experience in business analysis or a similar role, with a track record of manipulating, analyzing, curating, and reporting data.
  • Experience in developing and reporting on KPIs, creating dashboards, and utilizing data visualization tools.
  • Hands-on experience with data integrity, validation processes, and database management systems.
  • Experience working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives.
  • Familiarity with financial and operational performance metrics, as well as program profitability analysis.
