Specific Job Functions:

 

  • Oversee the daily department operations of the Count Team
  • Address management and employee issues in a calm, effective, intelligent and fair manner
  • Communicate department issues to department management in a timely manner
  • Analyze problems to find solutions
  • Maintain confidential information
  • Create and maintain a positive work environment which promotes teamwork, performance, feedback, recognition, mutual respect and employee satisfaction
  • Ensure departmental practices are compliant with company policies and legal requirements
  • Train, evaluate and motivate employees , by ensuring that they receive sufficient guidance and resources to achieve established department tasks
  • Communicate effectively with guests, co-workers and management
  • Prepare employee schedules and determine staffing needs
  • Operate an electrical tow cart for pushing and pulling loaded carts
  • Knowledge in utilizing office equipment, such as ten-key calculators, multi-line telephones, computer equipment, copy machines and fax machines
  • Ensure all Count Team procedures are in compliance with the Minimum Internal Control Standards required by the Gaming Control Board
  • Maintain the inventory of supplies and ensure all machinery is in good condition
  • Trouble shoot problems and provide management and employees with constructive feedback
  • Lead the entire soft count and drop function in compliance with all regulatory controls
  • Perform all duties as deemed necessary for the success of the department

 

Qualifications:

  • Previous supervisory experience preferred
  • Previous Count Team experience required
  • Knowledge of regulations and laws regarding hiring and maintaining a positive and professional work environment
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule
  • Be able to conduct mathematical transactions quickly and accurately
  • A high regard for maintaining a good attendance record
  • Promote team spirit and gain the respect of the team by demonstrating a good work ethic
  • The ability to work in a structured, organized, and highly regulated environment
  • Ability to use a computer and ten-key calculator quickly and accurately
