Responsibilities:

Digital Products and Applications (DPA Team) at PepsiCo

The Digital Evolution is critical to driving PepsiCo’s ambitions around being FASTER, STRONGER, and BETTER.  Under the Digital Products & Applications (DPA) team designs, builds, and stands up digital solutions across the value chain, that are embedded into business processes to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high ROI. Guided by PEPSICO’s global priorities, the Digital Products & Services team create user-centric digital products that can be scaled globally by leveraging the leading technologies, advanced analytics algorithms and latest user research.

 

Strategy Manager

  • The Strategy manager will be responsible for developing and executing plans which include specific deliverables, resources, and timelines for initiatives supporting the DPA team.
  • As well as the above, guide and champion DPA programs and create/establish procedures and policies in DPA function in the following:

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive technical strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into actionable strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define technical roadmaps and long-term visions

Budget

  • How we budget across DPA  for internal labor, external labor, CAPEX/Opex
  • How we track monthly actual against the budget with Finance
  • Processing SOWs across the function working with Global Procurement and Legal

Hiring

  • Serve as a central docking point in the hiring process connecting all the key functions (HR, TA, Business, Leaders, Finance, Total Rewards etc.) to remove gaps and expedite progress

Change Management

  • Experience with introducing new ways of working as we roll out new centralized policies, new digital products, etc.
  • Working closely with DPA change management to ensure an integrated approach to the building process, ensure successful implementation, report progress, and analyze results

Accountabilities:

  • Serve as a critical advisor to the Software Engineering Management for DPA and Global, offering recommendations both within the team and across PepsiCo.
  • Responsible for DPA Engineering team operations; develop the strategy and vision of the program over the next 3-5 years, in collaboration with the broader Digital pillars (Svc
  • Design, Process Reengineering, App Architecture, Software Engr, Co-innovation)
  • Lead a team that translates strategies into program/project plans, including scope management, stakeholder management, deliverables (KPIs), schedule, budget management, risk management, and resource requirements.
  • Manage Software Engineering team budget; track expenses by the team; monthly reconciliation of actuals to budget .
  • Collaborate with leaders across functions & sectors to determine and prioritize business strategies, serving as an integrator across workstreams towards common goals. Support implementation of systems into actions, helping to move change forward to drive business priorities.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,400 - $178,100.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications:
  • 8 – 10+ years of experience in business, operations, or strategy roles across tech product organizations.
  • Experience in working with large, geographically distributed teams
  • Bachelors in engineering and /or Master of Business Administration strongly preferred.
  • Highly analytical, motivated, decisive thought leader with excellent managerial skills
  • Strategic mindset with an ability to think broadly, refine questions, and develop analytical frameworks
  • High Emotional Intelligence and verbal and written communication skills that educate and influence senior leaders; ability to “manage up.”
  • Experience managing teams and partnering with multiple business functions
  • Digital experience within a global CPG (Consumer Packaged Good) company / Consulting Firm or related would be a value add
  • Global outlook with sensitivity and awareness of social and cultural differences
  • Demonstrates a strong sense of urgency and a process-oriented approach towards set strategic objectives and related initiatives.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships, manage conflict and embrace change.
  • Ability to bring clarity to ambiguous situations while demonstrating excellence working in a matrix environment – critical and clear thinking.
