The Assistant Housing Director is responsible for assisting the Housing Director in managing the daily operations of Housing with Services and acts as the Housing Director in their absence. This position supervises departments as directed by the Housing Director. This position is responsible for people services and business office functions, resident and family satisfaction, financial oversight, and census development.

Pay:
- The targeted pay range for this job is $66,000 to $75,000 annually.
- Ecumen considers a variety of factors when determining new hire pay including experience, qualifications, and, when applicable, certifications, licenses, and education.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Supports Housing Director with total operations of the building including supervision of staff and budget planning and management.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition throughout the job posting, recruitment and hiring process, and oversees and directs onboarding, orientation and off boarding for all team members.
- Monitors staff turnover and retention and proactively identifies and implements innovative ideas for recruitment and retention.
- Advises and supports other department directors/managers with team member related issues or concerns. Acts as a liaison between managers and team members to ensure team members are treated fairly and policies are applied consistently.
- Manages other People Services activities and processes such as benefits, compensation, and government-mandated reporting.
- Ensures the community complies with federal, state and local standards and regulations by routinely inspecting the building, grounds, and equipment, assessing areas in need of improvement and correcting immediately. Ensures the environment is safe for all guests, residents and staff.
- Maintains open lines of communication with residents and staff to monitor levels of satisfaction and respond appropriately if changes are needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Driving Requirements: Local Travel Required
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field. Previous experience in a leadership position
- Demonstrated knowledge of multiple Human Resource disciplines (employee relations, performance, recruitment, compensation, benefits, etc.)
- Previous senior care experience
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats, individually and to groups
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to follow all safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures of the facility including but not limited to: Vulnerable Adult and Abuse Policy, HIPAA, Resident’s Bill of Rights, Universal Precaution, AWAIR, OSHA, Right to know, SDS, ADA, HUD Policy and Procedures, Fair Housing laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in related field
- Specialized degree in Human Resource Administration and/or professional certification by the Society for Human Resources Management
- Active, unrestricted Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD), or ability to obtain within 12 months of hire
- 5+ year’s senior living site leadership
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting as well as strong networking experience
- Previous experience with non-profit organizations
