Requirements:  

  • Experience: 5-7 years of maintenance experience, ideally with beverage/bottling equipment
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance preferred.
  • Available to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends & holidays
  • Microsoft Office Suite and CMMS System (required)
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish (preferred)
  • Ability to frequently lift/push/pull/carry up to 50 pounds

Job Description: 

The Maintenance Supervisor oversees daily maintenance operations at a high-speed bottling facility, ensuring efficient repairs and upkeep of equipment to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. This role involves leading, training, and mentoring a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a positive work environment, and enhancing team performance through regular feedback and professional development. The supervisor develops and implements preventative maintenance programs to ensure optimal equipment operation and reduce unexpected breakdowns, scheduling regular inspections and servicing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and operational issues with bottling equipment, coordinating with external vendors for specialized repairs when necessary.
  • Ensure all maintenance activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, and industry standards, the supervisor conducts regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Manage the inventory of spare parts and maintenance supplies, ensuring critical components are available and implementing control measures to track usage and reduce costs.
  • Accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment status, and repair history, are maintained using maintenance management software to track key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Work closely with production, quality assurance, and engineering teams to address operational challenges and develop strategies for continuous improvement in productivity and equipment reliability.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and safety of bottling equipment, staying updated with industry trends and best practices.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance issues ensuring prompt resolution of critical equipment failures and maintaining contingency plans for potential breakdowns.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • In-depth understanding of high-speed bottling equipment and processes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Familiarity with PLCs, VFDs, and automated control systems.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques and practices.
  • Understanding of safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Experience with inventory management and spare parts control.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for mechanical, electrical, and operational issues.
  • Leadership and team-building skills to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Proficient in using maintenance management software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Effective time management skills to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Capacity to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and work for extended periods.
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement effective solutions.

Job Details: 

  • Work Hours: Monday thru Friday, Business Hours, Overtime as needed.
  • Work Attire: Use good judgment, keeping in mind the nature of their work, their own safety and the safety of others, and their need to interact with the public.  
  • Pay Range: $43.00/hr. to $45.00/hr.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
