Systems Engineer

Hugo Boss is seeking an a well-qualified Systems Engineer whose technical experience will contribute to support our IT operations in our Distribution Center as well as to provide system support to tickets that come in from our retail store locations.  In this role the appropriate candidate will be responsible for several systems, servers and applications that spans across to different business locations include Savannah, New York, Toronto, Mexico City, Sao Paulo and including 400+ Retail point-of-sale locations. The role requires a candidate with hands-on knowledge on advanced networking, server, printers, wireless and cloud technologies to support diverse initiatives in our organization.  Additionally, the ideal candidate requires proficiency in network planning, configuration, security best practices and enterprise-level solutions, as well as experience working with or collaborating closely with our external network vendors and managed service providers. This role is based on-site in our Savannah, Georgia office.

 

 

What you can expect:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to the following:

  • Build and help to support enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions, ensuring performance, availability and security.
  • Provide Support for Distribution Center Applications and hands-on hardware, network and servers.
  • Experience with troubleshooting network (LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi) issues
  • Support issues related to RFID label encoding on Zebra printers in our Savannah Distribution Centers.  We expect the candidate to grow in becoming a subject-matter expert on the RFID systems used at Hugo Boss to support deployment in other countries in the Americas region
  • Periodically Review and attend to tickets that arrive through Hugo Boss’ ticketing system.
  • Administer x86-based servers, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and security
  • Conduct regular system monitoring, performance optimization, and security assessments to proactively identify and address potential issues.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software problems and coordinating with vendors for technical support when needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new technologies and solutions
  • Participate with our partners in Germany in ensuring that systems backups and disaster recovery planning, execution and monitoring is maintained up-to-date and
  • Assist with planning, procurement, deploying, and maintaining Hugo Boss retail locations and branch offices as necessary.
  • Hands on experience with Windows services (DNS, DHCP, Active Directory (Entra), Network Troubleshooting, Hyper-V, Clustering Services).
  • Ability to work in an environment that requires off-hours availability for support, especially in an retail organization
Your profile:
    • 3+ years’ experience in similar I.T. system engineering roles (retail industry would be a plus)
    • Minimum Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
    • Certifications: MCP, MCSE, MCSA, Azure Certs
    • Familiar with Microsoft Azure / M365 stack
    • Experience on installation and maintaining Windows Server
    • Expertise in Windows technologies: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, GPOs, Hyper-V, Windows Clustering and Domain Technologies knowledge
    • Basic familiarity in troubleshooting network issues
    • Knowledge on SQL Server implementations would be a plus
    • Proficiency in authentication and identity federation protocols (AD, LDAP, SAML, OIDC)
    • Familiarity with cloud environments (preferred: Azure would be a +)
    • Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and organization skills.
    • Ability to work independently and with a team
