What You Will Do

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversee daily nursing operations in the Assisted Living community.

  • Supervise, mentor, and support nursing and direct care staff, ensuring consistency and excellence in resident care.

  • Coordinate and manage resident assessments, individualized care plans, and ongoing wellness monitoring.

  • Foster a respectful, inclusive, and engaging community that honors each resident's individuality and autonomy.

  • Serve as a key liaison between residents, families, healthcare providers, and internal departments.

  • Maintain compliance with state and federal regulations, as well as Kendal’s internal policies.

  • Lead and participate in staff recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to drive continuous quality improvement and best practices in elder care.

What You Bring

  • Licensed as an LPN or RN in the Commonwealth of Virginia.

  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with a strong preference for experience in assisted living, long-term care, or geriatrics.

  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

  • In-depth knowledge of regulatory compliance and person-centered care principles.

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

  • A team-first attitude, strong clinical judgment, and a passion for serving older adults with dignity and compassion.
