About the Department


The Department of Technology, Management and Budget (DTMB) supports the business operations of State agencies through a variety of services including information technology project delivery, maintenance, and support.   This position is with the Agency Services area of DTMB supporting Departments of Attorney General (AG), Department of Transportation (MDOT), Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity (LEO), and Governor Office.

This senior level position is responsible for designing, developing, managing and administering agency Customer Relationship Management systems, including Microsoft Dynamics and Salesforce platforms.    Activities include the verification of the architectural integrity of the application environment, recommends solutions based on the results of technical impact analysis on all proposed infrastructure changes to ensure feasibility and cost effectiveness, and develops and manages configuration management standards, processes, and policies.  This individual will provide technical support to other team members and evaluate new agency applications and tools.

Position Location/Remote Office: 
The office location is Lansing, MI. The State of Michigan is not able to offer employment to out-of-state applicants that do not plan to relocate. The Department of Technology Management and Budget currently offers a hybrid work option which requires two days working on-site at the official work location and three days of remote work per week.

Signing Bonus:
This position may be eligible for a sign-on bonus up to $2,500. Up to $1,250 to be paid upon new hire and the remainder to be paid after satisfactory completion of the initial probationary period (12-month period). This does not apply to current state employees.

Position Duties

Education

Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12
Possession of a Bachelor's degree with 21 semester (32 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: computer science, data processing, computer information systems, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, information assurance, IT project management or mathematics.

Experience

Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12
Two years of professional experience equivalent to an Information Technology Infrastructure or Programmer/Analyst P11.

Minimum Qualifications

Information Technology Programmer/Analyst 12
Possession of an associate's degree with 16 semester (24 term) credits in computer science, information assurance, data processing, computer information, data communications, networking, systems analysis, computer programming, IT project management, or mathematics and two years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, or information technology technician; or two years (4,160 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.

OR

Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and four years of experience as an application programmer, computer operator, information technology technician, or four years (8,320 hours) of experience as an Information Technology Student Assistant may be substituted for the education requirement.

Other Qualifications

Certain positions may require certification in specific information technology programs.
