P&C IT Services provides professional services to help our business units and corporate functions use technology to create, manage, and optimize information and business processes.  IT Services can include a wide range of activities such as: software development, data management, Cloud services, IT security, network security, technical support, establishing and overseeing access rights, procuring and maintaining equipment or software, managing the infrastructure, and defining security procedures,  The overall goal of IT Services is to provide technology solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and give our company a competitive advantage over our competitors.

Our IT Finance group is looking for a Financial Analysis Director to join their team and work a hybrid schedule out of the Cincinnati office.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  • Accountable for overseeing the finance team in performing comprehensive financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions.

  • Accountable for providing strategic leadership and direction in the development and refinement of financial models to project future performance and evaluate potential risks and opportunities.

  • Oversees the creation and execution of long-term financial plans and annual budgets, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and objectives.

  • Strategically assesses and adjusts forecasts in response to dynamic business conditions and market trends, ensuring accurate internal account reconciliation.

  • Conducts high-level reviews and analyses of key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess the company's financial health.

  • Oversees and guides the preparation and delivery of comprehensive financial reports and dashboards to senior management and key stakeholders.

  • Identifies, analyzes, and mitigates financial risks, devising and implementing strategies to safeguard the company's financial stability.

  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal controls.

  • Facilitates high-level collaboration with cross-functional teams to provide strategic financial insights and support for operational and strategic initiatives.

  • Champions continuous improvement of financial processes, driving the implementation of best practices to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Partners with Project Management Colleagues to understand, quantify, and communicate issues and risks associated with key initiatives

  • Communicates with clarity of purpose, and confidence, tailoring messages to audience needs and ensuring timely, well prepared delivery

Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

Experience: Generally, a minimum of 18 years of experience in Financial Analysis or Accounting, including a minimum of 8 years of leadership experience.  Previous experience in the insurance industry preferred. Completion of or continuing progress toward a professional designation preferred, such as Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Scope of Job/Qualifications: This role will start as an Individual Contributor but could pick up direct reports over time. Serves as an expert resource and mentor on financial modeling, data analysis, and forecasting techniques.
