Are you passionate about sustainability and environmental performance? Join Tassal’s Environment Team and play a key role in supporting our environmental objectives across our processing operations.
As an Environmental Partner, you’ll help drive positive environmental outcomes by supporting the development and maintenance of our Environmental Management System, assisting with compliance monitoring, and contributing to waste reduction initiatives. You’ll work closely with teams across Tassal’s processing sites, building strong relationships and helping ensure our operations meet regulatory and internal standards.
What does your role look like?
As Environmental Partner – Processing, you will support Tassal’s Processing operations to achieve meaningful environmental outcomes. You will play a key role in positioning the business for success by delivering best-practice environmental performance and ensuring regulatory compliance. As a valued member of our high-performing environment team, you will provide technical expertise across a broad range of environmental management activities. Your tasks will include:
Ensure regulatory compliance across Tassal’s processing sites through environmental data management, reporting, and site inspections.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to support environmental performance, ESG initiatives, and business-wide sustainability goals.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Environmental Management System (EMS) and manage contractors aligned with environmental objectives.
Represent the environment team in meetings and forums, including regulatory liaison as authorised.
Being responsible for the capture, management, interpretation and reporting of environmental data to support decision-making, optimise environmental performance and ensure compliance.
Building strong relationships across Tassal’s business divisions and with external stakeholders, working collaboratively to ensure operational alignment and shared success.
Preparing and delivering reports on environmental performance and objectives
Liaison with regulatory bodies as authorised by National Environment Manager
What You’ll Bring
A degree in environmental science or engineering
A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to think on your feet and adapt to change
Strong organisational skills and a systems-driven approach, with insight into business needs
The ability to connect operational realities with environmental science to drive practical outcomes
Ability to travel between operational sites, including some interstate travel.
Some experience with Environmental Management Systems implementation
Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
