Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented mid-to-senior level software developer to support the Battle Management System (BMS) family of projects. BMS is a government owned, mission planning and fire control system that provides safe and effective employment of Precision Guided Weapons (PGW) and Gun Weapon Systems (GWS) from manned and unmanned aircraft and surface platforms for sponsors such as US Special Operations Command, US Marine Corps, and the US Navy.

An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in .NET development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, .NET framework, and design patterns.
- Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams to accomplish project objectives.
- Ability to work independently, make decisions, plan operations, show job responsibility, and exercise initiative.
- Ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain .NET applications using C#, .NET framework, and different network transportation protocols.
- Design and implement low-latency, high-availability, and performant applications.
- Integrate data storage solutions, including database and API integrations.
- Write clean, maintainable code that adheres to best practices and design patterns.
- Serve as a lead developer and collaborate with the team to design and launch new features.
- Write and maintain unit tests and integration tests.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to .NET applications and different network transportation protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and best practices in .NET development, including different network transportation protocols.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Experience with C#, .NET framework, SQL Server, and different network transportation protocols.
- Experience with web technologies including ASP.NET, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Demonstrate ability to clearly and effectively articulate, present, and promote varied ideas and issues (to include sensitive or controversial topics) before a wide range of audiences. Make clear and convincing oral presentations. Listen effectively; clarify information as needed.
- Convey written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling. Express thoughts persuasively and use effective modes to reinforce message retention.
- Set priorities for your own work in order to meet a deadline, coordinating work with other units in order to meet a deadline and setting work priorities and determining work assignments for other workers in order to meet a deadline date.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $92,090 - $162,060 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
