Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a Director of Food and Beverage to join the team at Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite in Fish Camp, California. As Director of Food and Beverage, you will be responsible for leading teams across multiple restaurant outlets and banquet department for Tenaya Lodge. The ideal candidate will be a dynamic leader who combines a strong results-driven mindset with genuine empathy, fostering both performance and people, creates a strong alignment between front-of-house and back-of-house teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience, and cultivates talent by empowering team members to reach their full potential.

Unit Description:

Tenaya Lodge is a 4-diamond resort located just outside the south entrance to Yosemite National Park. Delaware North owns and operates the AAA Four Diamond-rated Tenaya Lodge at Yosemite dating back to 2002. Tenaya is an all-season resort featuring lodge rooms and cottage rooms, 50 Explorer Cabins, a rich range of recreational activities, a luxury spa, ample meeting and event space, indoor and outdoor pools, and five dining venues located on the property. It's located just two miles from Yosemite National Park.

Responsibilities:
  • Hire, train, and inspire team members to deliver high standards of service to ensure exceptional guest satisfaction
  • Establish and maintain safety and sanitation procedures, including the proper repair and maintenance of food service equipment
  • Ensure compliance with regulations regarding the sale of alcohol, payroll, employment guidelines, and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration
  • Determine staffing levels to maximize net returns while maintaining guest service levels
  • Prepare and submit monthly projections and reports
  • Verify that effective systems for cash, inventory, and payroll procedures are in place
  • Operate a company vehicle when necessary
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 7 years of large-scale hospitality management experience, overseeing multiple food and beverage outlets and banquets
  • Familiar with various software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite, catering software and point-of-sale systems
  • Established assessment and decision-making skills with proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of the organization
  • Bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license
