Job Duties
As our Trade Compliance Manager – US & Canada, you will be responsible for leading, developing and providing compliance oversight to import/export processes and activities in alignment with current laws and regulations in the US and Canada. You’ll be accountable for influencing the organization and ensuring successful execution of the US and Canada import/export compliance program, providing effective and efficient regulatory compliance administration, business support, training, assessments and business systems integration.
You will bring 5+ years of progressive and successful experience in Customs, international trade, and trade compliance (including import/export compliance operations, customs brokerage, trade consulting, Logistics, or trade law) to KONE. You will use the knowledge gained through your bachelor’s degree in a related field such as international trade, business, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
Hiring requirements
Strong knowledge of US trade regulations, customs laws, and trade agreements.
Expert knowledge of areas like anti-dumping/countervailing duties, section 232, 301, and other regulations may be required
Proficiency in software like ACE, SAP, C-TPAT Portal, CARM and other trade management tools may be beneficial
Strong data analysis and reporting skills, including proficiency with tools like Excel, Power BI, and/or Tableau
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization and with government departments
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities effectively
Deep understanding of US export control regulations (ITAR, EAR), and the ability to classify commodities, software, and technical data accurately
Experience with risk management
A US Customs Broker License or relevant Customs Related Certificate Programs is preferred but not required. NCBFAA CCS (Certificated Compliance Specialist) is also a preferred certification.

Annual Base Pay Range:
The hiring range for this role is $133,500 – $183,590. The compensation package offered will depend on their ability to meet the requirements of the role and a range of factors unique to each candidate, including their skill set, years and depth of experience, certifications, and location.
Variable Compensation
KONE Annual Bonus plan at 15% Target Incentive (60/40) based on achievement of company goals and individual goals.
