About the Role

We seek a talented and experienced Creative Director to grow our EMEA creative account. As the Creative Director, you will be responsible for helping to drive creative vision and strategy, ensuring the delivery of exceptional & awardable campaigns, and leading and helping to build a team of talented creatives. You have exceptionally high standards in your work, elevating craft and inspiring impact in ourselves and our skills. You bring a proactive & progressive, creative instinct and bold vision to the work, and you know how to nurture teams and talent to do the best work of their careers. You can think holistically about the whole digital experience, finding connections when our client partners cannot. 

You will partner closely with the Group Creative Director and continue to grow and support our strong relationship with our clients. Also pivotal to your success in this role is having a strong partnership with the other discipline leads and contributing to an environment of teamwork and mutual understanding. You must work collaboratively and inclusively across account, strategy, production, technology, and other capability teams to deliver great work, win new opportunities, and expand the business.  Of equal importance is your influence prowess with clients while being humble and adaptable.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Based in London, you’ll join a team that is guided by a local GCD
  • As part of our team, you’ll be collaborating with creatives, copywriters, designers, animators, and developers, as well as with PMs, operations managers, and a lot more talented Monks from all over EMEA.
  • You’ll be leading teams, projects, and pitches to develop creative concepts, brand-level thinking through to world-class executions across all digital media.
  • Pitching and presenting directly to our clients, you’ll be shaping and selling concepts for B2C brand content, social media, influencer, AI, AR, and campaign work.
  • You can lead multiple projects independently.
  • You’ll create not just what the client asked for but what their campaign needs, working with designers to produce beautifully designed decks that are in line with the project’s objectives and requirements.
  • Working on multiple projects at once, you go above and beyond each brief to push what’s possible on both a creative and industry-leading level.
  • You can forecast production and concepting issues in order to ask the right questions to the client and team and give solutions to future problems.

 

About You

The essentials: 

  • 10+ years of B2C experience as a Creative Director or similar leadership role, leading social media and digital marketing for a wide range of brands. 
  • Working with Influencer Managers, you know how to brief/collaborate and get the best from them to feature in, augment, or amplify social content.
  • Line management experience and ability to grow a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
  • Leverage data and research to help identify unique opportunities for the brand and represent creative vision and philosophy.
  • Social first approach, but with ideas big enough to transcend paid media.
  • An advocate and champion for AI tools, helping to get to great work more efficiently.
  • Ability to think clearly and contribute constructively to discussions and strategy during the entire creative process, from concept through production.
  • Provide clear, focused feedback to your creative teams regarding improvements that could be made to the work, the department, and the agency.
  • Self-motivated, hard-working, and work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work collaboratively across functions, balancing partners' needs and breaking down complex narratives into simple, compelling ideas.
  • A strong desire to build and develop diverse teams and perspectives, empowering the voices both close and abroad.
  • People-first mentality and experience in building a best-in-class global team
  • Proficient presentation and communication skills.

Not a must, but a plus:

  • A start-up mentality - always spot opportunities and proactively pitch ideas.
  • An impressive conceptual outlook and ability to produce original ideas beyond the brief.
  • You are nice with positive vibes that can inspire coworkers to go the extra mile.
